The Magic of Reba and Emma
Our dog sitter, Tracy, has a rescue dog named Emma. Emma has had a lot of trauma and abuse in her life.
My wife Audrey and I have a dog named Reba. She too has had a life of trauma.
Whenever Reba has been over at Tracy’s place, she and Emma wouldn’t interact. They would just engage in parallel play.
But before a recent Reba visit, Tracy and Audrey discussed the possibility that Reba might be able to help Emma. Audrey talked to Reba about her helping Emma, and she communicated mentally to Reba images of what that might look like.
At this visit… well I’ll let this photo speak for itself. Reba is on the left. (Continued below.)
That night, Reba who usually sleeps on the bed moved onto the floor. Not long after Reba moved, Emma for only the second time ever, fell off the bed. Emma hurt herself before. But Reba totally cushioned Emma’s fall, and both beautiful dogs were uninjured and safe.
