GUYS: ARE WE REALLY GOING TO KEEP DOING THIS WITH A STRAIGHT FACE?

It seems there are many wars going on right now.  Among them, 

— There are of course the actual physical wars like Russia and Ukraine.

— There seems to be class warfare as the affluent and non-affluent battle over tax rates and entitlements

— I think there has long been a gender war or battle going on.  Regarding the gender situation, I don’t see it playing out so well for men over time.  

Here are some observations about what I see women going through (nothing unique here).  

— Give or take 40 years of (often difficult) menstruation, so they can create us (and our sisters, brothers, wives, etc.)

— Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, etc, so they can create us (and our sisters, brothers, wives, etc.)

— Pregnancy, for many an extremely difficulty journey, so they can create us (and our sisters, brothers, wives, etc.)

— Labor, yikes, so they can create us (and our sisters, brothers, wives, etc.)

— And women play a larger role than men in raising us 

— And from the perspective of Kabbalah, women help us men to manifest amazing things from our often scattered energy  

— And more

Now, as some amount of offset, all of this effort builds the most extraordinary of vessels (spiritually speaking for the moment), into which so much light can come, namely babies.  There is no bond like the bond between a child and his or her mother.  In support of this idea, and sadly, there are numerous stories of marines who lay dying from wounds in battle calling out for their moms.

And guys, what are some of the things some of us do in response?  (But first I acknowledge that there are many wonderful men who treat their sisters, mothers, and wives beautifully.)

— Our country spends billions less in healthcare research for women than men

— Women’s physical health symptoms are much more frequently gaslighted than men, in other words regarded as not real.  

— Women are underrepresented in clinical trials

— Some men harass women at the office and elsewhere.  

— Some men take control of women’s bodies— sometimes through legal channels (think Supreme Court), sometimes in more private settings. In certain areas, women are still effectively slaves to men.  

— The Internet suggests that the wage gap between men and women for the same jobs is 14%-19%.  

— Since most politicians are men, it is mostly men who send women’s (and men’s) children to war.  

— And more.

From a spiritual perspective, I think we might call this an imbalance, a gender imbalance, and a large one.  And the Spiritual teachings are that it is best for humans to fix our created imbalances rather than wait for Creator to address… which tends to be less pleasant.  

And as just one current example of how Creator may already be getting involved, many men in this country are finding it harder to find women to marry.  And I don’t believe in coincidences.
