AN UNCOMFORTABLE QUESTION ABOUT PARENT CHILD RELATIONSHIPS
I have observed that SOMETIMES when parents are uncomfortable with how one of their children is treating them, they may in some way be treating one or more of their parents in broadly the same way.
And therefore, I suggest that if you are not thrilled with how your child is interacting with you, you may want to ask yourself if perhaps how you are treating one of your parents has some rough commonality with how your child is treating you?
But this is not just a fruitless exercise in frustration. Because on those occasions where you can see this pattern, if you are then able to interact with your parent differently, you might find that your child as well changes.
Seems like magic right? Well it kind of is. I repeat that this is a sometimes thing as all situations and people are different. But I remain amazed by how often I have seen it work as described here, including in my own life.
Much Love
